Into the Woods We Must Go
by Jordan McNeil
McNeil’s chapbook of linked micro fictions is alluring in its call to step into the woods, coaxing the reader off the path, enchanting in its call to cross the threshold. (Porkbelly Press 2023)

You come across a forest on your morning run. Certainly,
it wasn’t there yesterday. You would remember such dark,
deciduous trees in the middle of the city. But how does a

and green and life waft out, hypnotic, tantalizing. You find
yourself at the threshold. You enter.
